A long standing mainstay of our work, E.C. Pace is a regional leader in the construction of water and wastewater systems. We specialize in the installation of water, sewer, and storm sewer pipelines of all diameters. We also install underground structures including vaults, manholes, box culverts, & retention systems.
Road Building
E.C. Pace is an expert in heavy highway construction. We are a licensed and qualified vendor for the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). Our expertise includes new roadway construction, existing roadway reconstruction, intersections and pedestrian upgrades, drainage improvements, and streetscaping. We self-perform many aspects of our highway and street projects, including underground utility installation, mass excavation, drainage system installations, roadway grading and even natural stream re-alignments.
Natural Gas Distribution
Our natural gas construction crews are certified to install steel and plastic main distribution pipelines, as well as commercial and residential service lines. Our work includes both new installations that bring natural gas to new service areas and replacement of aging and outdated facilities for existing natural gas consumers.
Horizontal Boring/Tunneling
We offer a variety of trenchless pipeline installation options including jack & bore, tunneling and pipe bursting. Today’s trenchless technology allows for pipe to be installed under roads, railroads, and other construction areas with little to no disruption to pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
Concrete
Our concrete crews routinely perform concrete flatwork including installation of sidewalk, curb, gutter, and median islands. We also perform specialty projects including retaining walls, parapet walls and moment slabs.
Excavation & Grading
E.C. Pace offers turnkey, full site preparation services. Our site development services include E&S controls, clearing, grubbing, access road construction, permanent and temporary detention systems, mass excavation, and underground utilities. Rounding out this area of expertise, E.C. Pace also performs rough and fine grading operations, along with the placement of sub-grade and sub-base materials.
